The EarthSmarte Water Foundation seeks to make healthy, treated water for the whole home accessible to underserved families in Central Indiana and abroad, regardless of cost or maintenance.
When it comes to water quality, Indiana sits 38th out of all 50 states.
Approximately 75% of Indiana residents receive their water from public infrastructure. This water is sourced directly from rivers, groundwater, and reservoirs, all of which are known to be impacted by high levels of pollution.
Indiana's history of farming and industrialization has led to increased levels of contaminates in the water, from high levels of lead to PFAS, otherwise known as "Forever Chemicals."
While these contaminants are found in Indiana's water supply statewide, they most directly harm individuals who live in low-income or historically redlined communities.
Prolonged exposure to unsafe or unhealthy drinking water holds implications for every aspect of an individual's life. It directly impacts ones mental and physical wellbeing.
Solutions to Indiana's water quality, like bottled water or an in-home treatment system, can be costly. This points to a financial gap in the access of healthy drinking water within the home.
The EarthSmarte Water Foundation partners with local organizations to place one of our treatment systems into low-income and under-resourced homes in Central Indiana.
When you give, you're investing back into your community. Each donation, as well as 10% of every unit purchased from EarthSmarte Water of Indiana, goes toward placing healthy water into the homes of Indiana residents near you.
